Whether you love it or hate it, you can’t get away from it at the moment! Tartan is absolutely everywhere right now! It was all over the runway and now it’s in every shop! There isn’t anything that hasn’t has tartan put on it at the moment. There are dresses, tops, jackets, pants, skirts, bags, scarves and even hats!

It was on the runway for Alexander Mcqueen, Chanel, Moschino, Vivienne Westwood and many more! It’s in all the high street shops from Topshop and RiverIsland to Newlook and bank to Primark and every other place!

Moschino have gone for the more original tartan look in red and it looks very british! The models looked like super fashionable horse riders with their big black and gold riding hats on and their huge gold earrings. Some also had a slight military feel to them: blazers with gold buttons and sashes.

Marc by Marc Jacobs went for the more subtle approach though. I absolutely loved the retro look and feel to everything. The dark tartan coats and square bags to match looked amazing together.

Another designer that brought tartan into their clothes was Emilia Wickstead and I absolutely loved it. This tartan style was feminine and elegant with pink and nude shades. Everything looked pretty! I absolutely loved the pink and blue tartan because it brought a much more feminine touch to the pattern.

So, even though tartan is everywhere at the moment, it can be worn in so many different ways and there really is a pattern or colour that will suit everyone! Whether you’re punk or elegant.
