It might be a tad late but there is never a wrong time to try and clear your head and sort every thing out – this is something I like to put off though. The New Year means resolutions. I’ve decided to bring together some fully (ish) fashion based resolutions and share them with you!
Jeans.
I love jeans but I really do need to invest in a nice (expensive) pair that fit me properly. Jeans are super flattering and can be worn with pretty much anything! But now my jeans have gotten pretty old and, even though worn in clothes are the comfiest, my jeans are kind of … saggy? Like, not as fitted as they used to be because they’ve been through the wash so much. So what I’m saying is, I’m going to get new clothes when I need them!
When I see something I like, and I have the money, I’m going to buy it.
I “dilly dally” as my grandma might say. I can’t make decisions at all. I will stand in the changing room for 20 minutes deciding whether or not to buy something even though I have enough money and like it; and then when I don’t buy it I completely regret it.
DIY.
I always want to make clothes, or at least alter my old clothes, but I NEVER get round to doing it! Even if I do alter something, it just ends up worse than before. This year I am going to make something that is actually good and wearable!
I will tidy.
I am the messiest person out of all my friends. My room is an absolute tip. This year I’m going to sort it out. I’m going to paint my walls, give away/sell old clothes, sort through my jewellery (which means untangling about 7 necklaces), arrange my make up and even scoop all the old shoes from under my bed – along with all the dust.
If I like it, wear it.
Similar to number 2, I “dilly dally” and worry a lot. I sometimes don’t wear things because I worry what people think. I will be surprised if you are reading this and disagree with me. If I like something I’m going to wear it. I have given up caring about what others think – kind of. Just be you (UGH how cliché!)
So these are my fashion resolutions! I know I won’t stick to them all, but I can try! Hope you have a great New Year! (Sorry I’m late…)
